Hi JPV,

1. How will you rate level of difficulty of SC Questions in Actual Test?
Can you give some camparison such as from any book (e.g. Kaplan or PR) or from our Verbal Forum?

SC questions that I received in the GMAT test, where much tougher than I had prepared for. Definitely tougher than PR as well as Kaplan. In such a case, our only solution is to practice more and more questions.
I found that they were testing a few concepts that I had never seen in SC.

2. What kind of RC and CR were u expecting (or u thought as tough)?
I was definitely expecting tougher RCs. RC could be classified on par with PR. Not much tougher. CR also was ok, but the answer choices made life
easy here. In almost all cases, not more than 2 made any sense.

3. How was ur timing in both Verbal and Quant? (particularly Verbal. )
I had a strategy for verbal. To check how much time I have after 11, 16, 21, 26, 31 questions remaining questions woulbe 30, 25,20,15,10,5..!
Idea was to have 53, 45, 37,30, 20,10 minutes for the above no. of questions left. This will ensure that we spend lot more time to get the first few questions absolutely right.
I didn´t match this equation till 20 questions left. then there were 2 rc PASSAGEs, questions were not very tough. I was able to answer and move on. Came to this equation. For the last 2 questions, I had about 3 min. Guessed the second last question. Answered the last question just as time passed out. Answered all the other questions before.

4. What was ur practise test scores?
Powerprep2 - 690
Kaplan Test 1 - 670
Kaplan Test 2- 650 ( Personally, I found Kaplan much tougher in verbal than PR etc).
PR1- 680

I was normally always getting 98% or 99% in quantitative but in the GMAT I only got 95%. That was a huge let down.

hi kar_suud,

looking at your score on Powerprep2, i'm inclined to believe more that the Powerprep score will be about +/- 10 one's real GMAT score.
