Hi Paul, think this -

"Bill Gates is a successful enterpreneur, business
man, leader etc. because he has followers who listen
to him. He has followers because he took certain
decisions in life which happened to be right
decisions taken at right time. These decisions led
to accumulation of wealth and power. More is the
wealth/power a person has more are the followers."

Having said that let me ask you a question - you
must have slogged hard to excel and understand
concepts in college. How much of these do you apply.
My personal understaning is - minimal. Good college,
good grades just provides one a platform so that
ones seniors can believe on them and can gamble upon
them. If you deliver you will rise, if you do not
you will continue to struggle in middle level
management all through your life.

So MBA will be just a platform - if you deliver
(like Jeff Immelt etc) you will succeed, if you do
not...

Above all one need luck. one has to be lucky enough
to succeed...

Just my thoughts.
