I have taken about 9 kaplan gmat tests and got ~660-680 on average. I tried the score estimator putting 670 on the slider and everything else by default and the estimator gives me 740? I tried the other sliders as well and it seems the only other test that has higher estimator than the one i put in is Princeton review... So is Kaptest usually harder than the real thing or there's something i am doing wrong? I really hope it is not broken for obvious reasons heh...
Hello shaselai,
Yes, your are correct. Most people find the Kaplan algorithm scores people below his/her real potential and thus the tool extrapolates this accordingly.
The stress of the actual test will have a significant impact on your real score. Please bear this in mind as you use tools like the GMATClub score estimator.
