I need to improve my verbal score by at least 5 points. I am getting 30 on avg, and I want 35.
I am slow in the verbal and after 20th question I see that I do more mistakes because of the time pressure. I see that I spend much time in the RC, and do not get all the question right.
My question is: Is it okay to just blindly guess all the four questions, if I find just by reading few lines of RC that its hard? This can save me 12 minutes, and I can use this time to correctly answer other question. I know I'll be penalized if all the four question goes wrong.But how hard will be the penalty?
Will it matter a lot even if I do this at the 20th question ?
I have the test in 15 days and want to finalize my strategy.
Please help.

I don't know that it will work very well. I guess if you can answer more questions correctly than incorrectly using this technique then sure.
I would just try on a test and see how it works out for you - that's the best approach. Take one fully on one day and then the next day take one with skipping the RC.

Do not blindly guess 4 consecutive questions. That will just destroy your verbal section. Same number of mistakes spread out throughout the test and through different question types will give much higher score than mistakes concentrated around 1 section or in stacks. Although it is ok to read only some parts of a passage but it is not ok to blindly guess. If you really have lots of trouble with time then you can guess on detail questions in rc. For general questions in rc read first paragraph and first lines of other paragraph and then answer the question, but try this strategy before exam day.
Also one more thing about guessing ( which hopefully you won't need to make). If you have just 5 minutes for last 6 questions, do this. guess 36th, solve 37th, guess 38 solve 39, guess 40 and solve 41. Don't make consecutive guess. Lastly try to speed up in sc as that can save you lots of time. Best of luck.
