This is a too broad question, you mean Global Economy? If so, although there are areas with bad forecast, still some countries are performing well - Brazil, Middle East and South East Asia for instance - but that may be affected badly in the coming futures as the developed economies will consume less and drive less growth globally.

We haven't seen yet all the damage from the "Credit Crunch". Now loans for students have been canceled, imagine when people start defaulting on credit cards. And worse, with rising prices on foods and energy things can get pretty nasty.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see things going to a better mood yet.

Well, my opinion is just an opinion. I'm hardly an economist. Just someone who has a deep interest in the markets and reads a lot about them.

But, before I go further, about which economy are you asking? I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this is too broad a question :)

Well, that's how you interpret them. What's your "doomsday scenario"? May be different for you than for me.

Only point of my topic selection and presentation is to raise awareness and provoke discussion about economic and financial market developments. My motto is to expect and plan for the worst while hoping for the best. In other words, be your own (or your family's) Risk Manager!!! :)
