Hi. You are in a good spot to start preparing now. Obviously you need to take a practice test to figure out where you stand but in general, you would spend 3 to 4 months on the test prep and then depending on your productivity, one month per two schools you’re planning to apply. I’ve seen people be able to do now close to four schools per month Since a lot of programs have reduced their essay volume.

Does it help?

Hello Peterparker2,

We believe you have the time to apply in Round 1 this year if you start yourself off in a planned manner.

The following video may prove to be helpful:

Good luck!

I started my GMAT Preparation in March and decided I'll pursue an MBA in February. Right now I'm researching about B-schools, preparing for GMAT and looking for what I'll do after MBA (I want to go in the Product Manager line and this is a complete 360 degree switch from my current job so I need to research more about it). I also need to familiarise myself with the whole MBA application process (how the essays are written, reading sample essays, etc). I'm also juggling a 9-5 job.

My question, is 5-6 months enough for all this and how much time should I spend for each of this? I'll get a TTP subscription in the future for GMAT and I've heard it takes a lot of time to finish along with solving the OG. I saw for most of the colleges round 1 will open in September. Should I apply this year or wait, research and study and apply next year?

Hi bb I also have to give to an IELTS exam too during this period. Will it fit in this time period?
