Nipunh
Hi all,
Hope yoiu are all doing well. I have my gmat fe this week. And want to understand a few things in advance (to avoid any surprises or score cancellations)
Quick questions:
1) In gmat fe, can we write our timing/ points to remember strategy/ make grids between the sections (1 min/ 10 min break?)
2) The 1 min break does occour right? I mean after we have taken the first break post the first section itself...are we prompted on that 1 min window between sections? Does this break depend on how we take breaks?
3) What are some good and bad habbits that I should take care while I am giving the test?
4) What exactly is disruptive behaviour that is written on the start of these mocks?
Thanks and regards,
Nipunh
Hi Nipunh,
1. Gmat750aspirant is right. Technically, test takers aren't allowed to use their noteboards during the break/continue or instructions screens or during the actual break.
2. The
break/continue screen is 30s, not 1 minute. The break itself is (up to) 10 min, and there is no second break. You'll get the break/continue screen as long as the break is available. If you take the break after the first section, you won't see that screen after the second section (you will see the instructions screen though).
4. GMAC doesn't precisely define what disruptive behaviour is (it's whatever they don't like). But it's safe to say that you should (a) avoid speaking too loudly (when or if you vocalise the text you read) and (b) not stand up or move around during your test (put your hand up if you want to bring something to the attention of the proctor).
All the best for your test.
