Hi palkin904

The best thing to do would be avoid those with "GMAT Prep" tag to have an unbiased experience in Official mocks.

Feel free to reach out in case you need any help with your prep. All the best!

Hi palkin904,

The practice questions in the forums that are labeled as "GMAT Prep" are typically questions from the 6 Official CATs/mocks. To receive a realistic practice Score when taking any of those 6 Exams, you do NOT want to have answered any of those questions in advance - so it makes sense to avoid those prompts until AFTER you have taken those 6 CATs for the first time. After completing those CATs, then you might choose to go back and work through the additional questions in each of those 'pools' (re: the ones that you did not see when you took the CATs) since they are retired Official questions that once appeared on the actual GMAT.

Before I can offer you any additional advice for your studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

On GMAT club, where are the questions labelled with the tag "GMAT prep" from?
Are these official GMAT questions that appeared on the actual exam in the past? or are these from GMAT official mocks that are available on mba.com?

I want to avoid solving any question that are a part of GMAT official mocks that are available on mba.com so that i do not get any repeats while giving an official mock. Please advise bb GMATNinja

As has been said, those questions are from official practice exams. So, since you don't want to see them before doing the GMAT prep practice exams, I'd avoid them.
