Dear experts,
I would like to deliver a few questions concerning GRE verbal prep. I would be very grateful if you could address them.
Background info:
I am preparing for my second attempt at the GRE. The main goal is to increase verbal score from 155 to 161-163. So, since late May I have been working heavily on improving my verbal skills, specially RC skills as they are helpful solving every verbal question type. After practicing UNTIMED for a while with hard LSAT passages (45 passage and 300 questions in total; accuracy rate=86%), I switched to TIMED practice with official GMAT passages (so far 33 passages and 166 questions). Currently, the accuracy rate is 93%, which is good. HOWEVER, in my opinion time management performance is not promising. Average time spent on reading Medium size passages is 194 secs, long passages is 344 secs, and solving questions is 73 secs.
The questions:
1) Do you think I should get back to UNTIMED practice and improve RC skills for say another month and get back to timed practice since the time management performance is not really good? Or shall I continue timed practice?
2) What do you think about my statistics regarding the time spent on reading passages and solving questions? In your opinion what should be the time limit regarding both aspects?
3) Do you think GMAT passages are good choices for timed RC practice to prepare for GRE RC? Maybe, I should use LSAT passages for timed practice as well (i am saving some GRE passages for the final round of practice as i have already used most of them).
