Initially scheduled my exam on July 09 - but something happenned to me over the long weekend - and decided to use ETS GMAT as a practice test
rescheduled the test for today (18th June)
Just completed the GMAT with 690!
In all I would have got 22 sentence correction questions, out of which 18 were in the first 22!!!...I didn't know what was happenning! and was really worried that my time plan got screwed up..I had 15 min for around 18 questions, when I thought I desperately need to race. Just then a long RC got my way, though I just skimmed the RC through before answering the questions, I think the questions were not very difficult! This was followed by a stretch of 3 bold face CRs (with 8mins left)...I did whatever the best I could think of for the first one - was not able to focus on the next one, though I remember spending around 2 min staring at what it was trying to explain. Wild guessed the 3rd bold face!. Then again, around 3 SC's and more couple of CRs - finally the test ended with a RC and a SC.
I had never encountered so many SC's (that too at a stretch) before! But thankfully, SC was one of my little strengths and hence my near 700 score!
Thanks to Hong, Paul, MA,Ywilfred, bb(not sure if he remembers me now!),praet,McKenna,Bhai,Banerjee, jpv and all the other great ppl who have encouraged me along with giving a good company over the past few months
cloudz9 - I remembered the "It
's all good" before the exam! - and I really think this helped me keep my spirits up!
Sparky - thanks for the last min-dumb-question-answer series (though the only thing that I couldn't ask came up in the exam)
I just want to give one advice here - have a never say die attitude! Things don't always go right, but staying focussed on what you want to achieve is the only thing that is going to make you cross the river.
This site has always motivated me - right from the days when bb used to participate in discussions until today, I have never seen the enthu of this group fade in any way!!
Don't know whether I should call it The End or give it another shot! As I have taken only one Kaplan (with the essay) and two princeton tests until now(atleast I gotto get my money back on all the books that I have bought and have used so little! - but I guess this is more than compensated with whatever I got from this site - more than what I can ever pay!)
I shall keep contributing to this site in whatever way I can!
Thanks everyone!
