Does anyone have any insight as to the average difficulty of questions in the verbal question bank for exam pack 1?
I just took Exam 4 in GMAC exam pack 1 (second test), and scored a 770: Q47/V51.
While I'm thrilled about my score I can't help but be a little suspicious of the verbal. I got every one right, and none of them appeared to be too difficult. For context, my average is around V45 (GMAT Prep: 43/46, Manhattan: 45/45/47/42.

Hi PG,
You are clearly a naturally strong Verbal 'thinker', so if you can score a V45, then it stands to reason that you could score higher. That having been said, Test Day is a rather specific 'event' - the details are specific and they matter, so you have to train as best as you can for all of them. The more realistic you can make your CATs, the more likely the score results are to be accurate. The more you deviate, the more "inflated" your scores can become. As such, we have to consider how you chose to take this CAT:
1) Did you take the ENTIRE CAT (including the Essay and IR sections)?
2) Did you take it at home?
3) Did you take it at the same time of day as your Official GMAT?
4) Did you ever do ANYTHING during this CAT that you can't do on Test Day (pause the CAT, skip sections, take longer breaks, etc.)?
5) Did you take this CAT before? Had you seen any of the questions BEFORE?

EMPOWERgmatRichC I simulated test day as closely as I could have. Even installed GMAT software on a work computer to simulate strange environment/some of the initial setup forms etc.
