Quick Question (just been bugging me)

Question

So if you're doing good on verbal approx what # problem should be start seeing double bold questions? Because on the MGMAT prep If I get a few good hits I can see them as soon as like the 10th problem but on the GMATprep I don't start seeing them till much later, like the 20th or so. I guess for me, just to gauge myself, when I start seeing permutations and double bold, then everything is gravy :-D

I don't think there's really a set number like that, depends on how well you've been doing. Assuming you start getting good hits, then I'd think 15 is about right?

Remember the real GMAT has a lot of experimental questions in there ... so impossible to look for patterns based on Q-type.

You don't even know whether the question you are doing counts or not !!

I also think there is not a certain pattern or certain numbers fixed for particular question and when they will appear.

Oh ya! A quick tip for boldface questions:

On boldface questions you are asked to make out which function boldface parts serve in the argument (premise, conclusion, assumption) and\or what is the relationship between them.

Remember! To save time, eliminate answer choices that incorrectly define the first boldface type part. There is no need to continue reading them.

Also, I suppose you know what's given in the MGMAT CR guide for boldface questions:

Figure out on boldface CR questions whether the part is "Conclusion" or "For the Conclusion" or "Against the conclusion".

I remember shorteverything (41v) said he didn't see a single bold face question, point: don't gauge performance based on question type.
