I know numerous articles have been written about the infamous 'being' and I do know that in theory there are two cases in which usage of being is correct (1. When Being is used as a noun and 2. When passive continuous verb tense is required to communicate the meaning). However, is there a sure shot test to check the usage quickly without wrapping my head around grammar jargon?

Hey SugandhaM ,
Personally I would prefer to verify the usage with the two rules we have. It is always preferable to practice good number of questions that use "being" so as to get comfortable with the grammatical jargons and hence be able to determine quickly during the exam.
Avoid shortcuts if you don't want any long cuts in your score. :p
