I would like to start UNC's online MBA program. I would love to start in January, however at the time of writing this i'm almost finished with my app, and that would put me in round 4 of the application deadlines. Should i hold off and apply for R3 of April's starting class? This is a similar situation for a few other online programs I am looking at currently.

The reason i'm nervous about the 4th round is my low GPA (2.8). Albeit from a top 50 school, in chemical engineering, it makes my app not as strong. I scored a 690 GMAT, have 5 years work experience with 2 promotions and 2 years of management experience at a young age. My recommendations will be strong, but that GPA still feels tough for adcom's to get over.

Any advice on whether i can try to squeak in to the online programs in round 4 or if i should wait for a later start date?

Thanks!
