80% of the arithmetic questions answered = 32
60% of algebra questions answered = 18
50% of geometry questions answered = 5
total questions answered = 32+18+5 = 55
no of questions to be answered to pass the exam = 75% of 80 = 60
no of questions more questions to be answered correctly = 60 - 55 = 5 -> option A
