Passage primarily concerns with questions : KNOW all the DO verbs and strat comparison with your primary idea on passage. Most of the time you will be left with 2-3 combintion and start POE to get the correct one. So probability of your accuracy is 50%.
According to passage :OG says EXPLICITELY stated in the passage. So that should be your weapon to find out what explicitely stated in passage.
Function of a given passage question: Function of passage stated that what passage or author DOES (remember your answer should start with atleast some action)??? Take a overall idea and nail down.

Hope, they will help.
