Hi everyone,
I needed some help with sorting out what resources to use for RC.
I've used OG 2017, 18 and 19, a few passages from GMAT club and currently I'm using this book called Aristotle. It has a set of 99 passages categorized into easy, medium and hard. I am not sure if these are GMAT like passages as I found them to be too long and also found a few flaws in its line of reasoning in the answer choices.
As I still feel I havent mastered RC enough, could anyone recommend what resources should I use?

SajjadAhmadHi tetraneha,
I would suggest you to first understand the right methodology to solve RC questions and then solve a few questions to get comfortable with the process. Sorry to say this, but, just solving 'N' number of questions doesn't help you in mastering a specific topic. You have to realize that if you keep solving questions without understanding the methodology, you will keep repeating the same mistakes. As GMAT is a test of application of concepts, it is really important to use the right methodology to solve questions. Let me help you here.
The right way of reading a passage:
The best way to read the passage is to read it in an inferential manner. The focus should be to identify the purpose of the passage. While reading a sentence, make sure you understand why it is written and you connect it with the previous sentence. This way you can make a structure out of every passage and once you finish reading the whole passage, you will be having a mini-summary of it. One more important thing to keep in mind is do not stuff yourself with details while reading the passage. There might be a few details which you might want to take note of but when you come across detailed questions, you can always go back to the passage and answer them.
Should you worry about the topic of the passage?
A few students get nervous whenever they come across passages which deal with topics such as History, Biology etc. But you need to understand that GMAT doesn't test you knowledge on any topics.
GMAT gives you ample amount of information in the passage and if you understand the passage as a whole, you can answer all the questions related to it. So, it is the methodology which you have to learn. Once you are comfortable with the methodology, the process is same for every passage no matter what the topic is.
So, I recommend you to start reading in an inferential manner. Do not time yourself during the initial stages. The process might take time in the beginning but it is important to invest this time to get better results in the future. You can understand the gist of the approach by going through the following video.
As you have exhausted all the resources, I recommend you to go through the OG once again. This time spend considerable time in analyzing the solutions. Compare your approach with the right one and identify where you are going wrong. This will help you narrow down the gaps and once you do this for a few questions, the process comes to you naturally. Hope it helped. Feel free to write back or connect over a call if you have any more concerns regarding GMAT preparation.
