Gents,
Some of you have shared best practice for RC which is certainly useful and I do see a reason to master it to fetch better results (Thanks kidderek, ywilfred - personally I find your feedback appealing most to me)... and I am working on it... cant say I have mastered to success yet but the trend is proving worthy.
I would like to further gather more thoughts\feedback on some of the following:
1. How many RCs a day (how many is too many - I tend to explode beyond 4 in one go for now)...?
2. Once you tallied your results after practice - then what?
For certain question explanation helps but for certain (around 75%+) I find the response mere a justification and much less an explanation ... not sure I feel I have learnt or corrected my mistake...! Is it a sign of growing pain and hence doing more will fetch me better yield or one needs to objectively spend more time in analyzing each of the RC question\answer. To prove my point, if I return to the same RC in 2 days chances are I will error out again...
As usual, I value your feedback alot, so plz dont hold back ....!

PS: In relation to my second question above, I must say for SC & CR its different I mostly find my mistakes when I tally the answers and tend to correct... and hence in that process ...learning... much more objectively

I think that 4-5 RC passages in one sitting would be a perfect amount for practice, then spend a lot of time understanding the question/answer explanations. RC's sometimes can be the hardest things to improve, but it can be done. When looking at the answers, you must understand why it is the correct answer, even if the explanation doesn't help you. If the explanations are not adequate, try to figure out why that is the right answer on your own. Is the answer you chose too extreme, is it too general, did you answer the question being asked? Understanding the why is more important than doing more problems. I think that's the case for any question, whether RC, SC, CR, PS or DS. Best of luck.
