While reading each RC passage, you should identify and summarize:
    - the theme of each paragraph (4 to 8 words)
    - conflicting points of view (4 to 8 words)
    - main idea (4 to 8 words)

If you take good notes, you won't have to go back and re-read the passage. More importantly, when you're looking for specific pieces of information to summarize, you will better engage with the passage (which is a HUGE factor in RC success).

If you're interested, we have a free set of videos that cover all sorts of Reading Comprehension strategies: https://www.gmatprepnow.com/module/gmat-reading-comprehension

Cheers,
Brent

RC strategies. Gmat in 20 days

These all Strategies may help you, taken from abhimahna Post

1. Read Slowly. Very Slowly. TOO Slowly.

2. Make the following table and start making very brief notes.

3. If you don't know what a particular sentence is saying, please don't move to the next one. This way you won't end up understanding exactly what the passage is saying.

4. Ok Man, what if that sentence is difficult to understand?

Understand the structure of that sentence. What is the Subject, what is the verb and what all are the modifiers.
Mostly, subject and verb are toooo away from each other that we end up getting confused. Understanding the structure would really help you improve your RC.

5. Ohh, I know what the passage is saying but 50%, or may be 75%. I don't know.

STOP THIS. If you don't know what exactly the passage is saying, don't try to hit questions.
Most probably you would end up getting inference type questions wrong.

6. Practice 3 RCs a day. Make it your Habbit. In case you don't have time to do other things on a particular day, make sure RC MUST be done.

7. Forget about Non Official Material. The only material I like THE most after official is Manhattan.

Good Luck

RC strategies. Gmat in 20 days

Hi amoghgupta,

You can refer to this link https://gmatclub.com/forum/guide-to-reading-comprehension-221112.html. It will sure help you with your Preps. Further regular practice such as taking multiple mocks might help. Apart from the GMATPREP, Manhattan GMAT tests and Veritas Prep Tests in my experience have good verbal and Quant section and will certainly help you point out and improve your weak areas.

Further another advantage of taking many mocks is to build up your stamina. Apart from the GMATPREP tests, taking practice tests of any major GMATPREP company ought to do that.

Lastly I would also encourage you to purchase the GMATPREP QP 1 for some great additional practice. Here is a link that will help you with your decision.

Hope this helps. All the best!
