Hello everyone,
I currently run a startup that has been mentioned in quite a few media outlets. As a result I am swamped with work, however I am currently in acquisition talks with a much larger company.
I am a bit behind schedule as I did not realize you had to apply so early for admissions for fall next year, with early decision deadline only 4 months away.
I have no studied or taken the GMAT yet, but would like to get a head start on my essay's and recommendations. I know for a fact my life goals will not change in the next year, but I may not work as much with my recommenders by next year.
I would prefer my recommendations be written now and I would like to get a head start on my essays in case I do ace the GMAT on my first try.
So the main question is, do recommendation letter prompts and essay prompts ever change? Or are they pretty much similar year to year. I was thinking if I don't end up scoring well on my GMAT or my business takes up too much time, I would be able to at least the recommendation letters & essays written before hand so next year essentially copy and paste job.
Since I own my business, I was thinking of having my tech co-founder write a letter. Second recommendation I am unsure. I have other friends who run startups and have the "cache" within the tech industry that the name may sound familiar, however I am unsure if such a recommendation would be useful.
Also, I will turn 28 in December, so I am worried there may be an age discrimination in play, as I read the top tier schools don't like anyone over 30+. Will applying next year hurt my chances? (Would be 29 turning 30 in December upon matriculation)
Thank You!
