Hello there,
I have been preparing for GMAT FE for almost 3 months. Started with an official mock on the on-set of prep and scored 535 (Q73 V79 DI77).
Now 3 months later, I've given 5 mocks (3 official and 2 GMAT club) and my score in the lst 3 have been 585, 595 and latest 595(Q77 V79 DI82).
I feel like I have reached a stagnant point, and am unsure where to take my prep from hereon. I plan to appear for the GMAT on 29th of July, and my target score is 625 with atleast 50%ile in each section.
I want to work on my quants score, but everytime it is a different topic that is keeping my score low. How do I progress in such a scenario?
Also, I noticed in my latest score thatmy quants score dipped from 78 to 77 even though the number of questions answered correctly increased. Is it purely because of the difficulty or is it true that answering incorrect back-to-back hampers the score more.
p.s. I am a working professional hence I manage merely 2hrs on weekdays, and practice/prepare mostly on the weekends.

I’m sorry to hear how things have been going with your GMAT prep. I do have some good news. Although you may feel as though 3 months is a long time to study for the GMAT, some students study for 6+ months to improve their GMAT score. The key for you is just ensuring you are “studying” the right way, and good things will start to happen.
So, one important piece of advice is to ensure you are studying in a topical way. In other words, be sure you are focusing on just ONE quant, verbal, or DI topic at a time and practicing just that topic until you achieve mastery. If you can study in that way, I’m sure you will start to see incremental improvement. For some more tips on the best way to structure your studying, here is a great article:
