Hi,Hjort
I am Manish from India & have done B.E in computer science.I was second rank holder in my univ.After that i joined a multinational software company and as of now i am having 1.5 years of experience.
Now i want to do MBA & for that i want to take GMAT in mid of 2006.
Having only 1.5 year of experience and only graduation degree,can be negative on my part while chossing for top B-Schools?
I am at initial stage of my preperation.
so kindly suggest me that wheter it will be right time for me to give GMAT or not.

Based on your interest in getting an MBA, it is reasonable to take the GMAT in the near future. Remember that many many schools consider the GMAT score valid for five (5) years. Thus, if you plan on applying in the next five years, your score will still be valid. However, if there are any major changes in the GMAT in the next few years, schools might reconsider their acceptance of "old" scores.

I agree that 1.5 years of work experience will represent a challenge when applying to many MBA programs.

I have one more query i want to pursue MBA in operations & systems and want to become a consultant in IT industry.Can u suggest me which Top Ten B-schools offer good coursein this stream.
I want to know so that i can set my target and work accordingly.
I have started my preperation for GMAT....with a dream to go to Harvard university
