Hi, I hope I'm asking this in the right place. I'm living in NYC and I'm seriously ready for a career switch from architecture to real estate development and acquisition, and am considering either an MS from NYU or Columbia, or an MBA from Columbia. Does anyone know what the essential differences are between these two routes? I've looked at curriculum, and I know that one difference is the overall education of an MBA vs the zoomed in focus of an MS. While the MS might cost me only half, I'm afraid that 10 years or so down the line, and MS might hinder me, while an MBA would not. Fact or Fiction?
Also, my undergrad GPA was 3.3 and my grad was 3.8, and I think I'll hit high 600s on the GMAT, though I haven't taken it yet.
Thanks!
