I'm preparing for the GMAT. I would like to ask how the graphic interface (size of the windows, size of the text, font ...) of the real GMAT test looks like. Does it look like the Kaplan Gmat CD Companion software or the simulation GMATPrep software ?

Download GMATPrep. It is the same interface as the actual exam and the most accurate in predicting your actual score(uses same algorithm as actual GMAT).

As others have said, GMATPrep is as close as you can get to the real thing. Some of the practice companies have tried to get the web interface they use as close as possible to the real thing, but GMATPrep is still the best.

That being said, don't *waste* your GMATPrep practice test just to get a feel for the CAT. You get two, and those two are probably the most accurate indicator of your performance. When you reset GMATPrep, you will likely see repeat questions and thus arbitrarily inflate your score.

MGMAT's test is pretty close as well, and you get one free practice test with that group.

Thanks for your responses

I already do some tests with the GMATPrep software. I found that it is hard to concentrate and read sentence correction or critical reasoning texts that stretch from the very left to the very right of the screen (you have to turn your head). I have more good responses on paper than CAT.

The software also says that it is best showed with resolution 1024x768. My monitor size is 19 inches

If you already pass real test, what is the screen size and the resolution ? Are they the same for all test centers ?

This can help me well prepare for the test
