My background: I am a 22-year old male planning on applying to MiF, graduated from a top Public University with a GPA of 3.8~3.9.
GMATprep mock #1: 710 (first attempt before started studying for GMAT)
GMATprep mock #2: 700 (Second attempt, not a credible score due to distraction)
GMATprep mock #3: 760
GMATprep mock #4: 760
GMATprep mock #5: 750
GMATprep mock #6: 770
Mock 3~6 was taken after 1~3 months of studying, With All Q50s and Varying levels of Verbal Scores (V42~45).
Real GMAT score #1 (online) : 720 (Q50 V38)
Real GMAT score #2(Test Center): 720 (Q50 V38)
When i recevied my first score, I first thought that the score was not really representative of my ability because I somehow decided to skim the RC passages very quickly. Because of this, I decided to take another exam right after (in 1 week) in a test center, but still received a same score, with identical Q-V split. After the 2nd exam, I decided to take another mock exam from
expertsglobal (which I heard is pretty good), and scored a 760 again, with Q50 and V44.
I got my ESR for my second exam, and my overall accuracy across all sections of verbal was low, with 36 on CR, 38 on RC, and 40 on SC. I think either the actual GMAT is harder than the mocks or I belabor on questions that I would have normally moved on quickly, mostly due to exam pressure.
Could anyone provide me with tips, maybe someone who went through similar experiences or scored higher than their scores on mock exams?
