Hi everyone!
I am an admit to INSEAD's MBA class of July 2012 and have a question regarding my future earning power. While I understand that there are no guarantees about anything in life, still it is no non-sense to plan ahead, especially if I am about to take a EUR50,000 loan.
I will turn 25 this June, but will have only 2 full years of work at a boutique investment bank in the former USSR. Although I have gained a lot of exposure to various aspects of M&A execution, and even have 2 origination experiences, I feel that with the average salaries being quoted for the average graduates with 5-6 years of WE (median around USD100,000 gross), I can't really assume the same salary numbers published in various brochures and surveys in my case.
Thus, I will be very grateful if more experienced people in this forum, perhaps, those who are / have been in my shoes, could comment. What compensation, realistically, I can expect after graduation with my background (honestly, I believe my career aspirations will change ten times after I finally enroll, so I will leave this open, however, I am sure I will not be returning to IB)?
BTW, I went to an Ivy League undergrad and have been promoted to Associate in under 2 years.
Thanks!
