Hello guys,
It's 26th Nov but I haven't decide the school yet, so I really need some helps.
Here's my profile
Vietnamese male, 23 years old
Education: Biotech, pharmaceuticals and agriculture (3 years program at French-Vietnamese university). The program is equivalent to a normal 4 years program.
GMAT: 710 (50Q-34V), one cancelled. Not planing on retake, but will if fail the application this year.
GPA: 13/20 (Bologna scale) (not sure when converted to 4.0 scale, maybe 3/0/4.0, I'm asking for a transcript from the university)
Working exp: 2 years (3 years by the enrollment time):
Bulk Quality Control Junior at a Vaccine manufacturing company (6 months).
Senior Technical Support department at a Medical devices company (14 months).
Currently working on a Tech start up (I am the co-founder) in developing novel culturing reactor for various algae species (start immediately after leaving the previous job).
Currently (part-time) working with another small business group (design and marketing services) as an adviser (human resource and sale).
Career goal: Working in healthcare sector, mainly distributing pharmaceutic related products (medicine, supplements, medical devices or other biotech related product). Immediate goal is to work in a small to medium size company in the US for 3-4 years so that I can learn how to run a small healthcare business, and then come back to my country and start a business on my own (I got plan for this). Long time goal is to expand my current business in manufacturing algae and to run a new business (as mentioned) in Vietnam.
Schools on the list: Mays , Smeal, Naveen, Hamsler, Simon, Warrington (UF).
Target: 50% scholarship to full tuition waiver. (A primary objective in choosing school)
I acknowledge that I got relatively weak profile (normal working experience and low GPA), but I do want to complete my MBA as soon as possible due to several personal reasons. I really need evaluation on my profile and my chance of getting the targeted scholarship in targeted schools. I don't really mind about the ranking of the schools (But they should be at least ranked and not too inferior). Any recommendation on applying other schools that offer generous scholarship is really helpful.
Thanks in advance.
