a, b, and c all dont work. examples of...

need d or e.

tough between d and e.

d is out though cause 'they' after canaries lacks parallelism with 'mice' before it.

E works. mice that, canaries that. brain growth, an increase. all good parallelism.

Recently documented examples of neurgoenesis, the production of new brain cells, include the brain growing in mice when placed in a stimulating environment or neurons increasing in canaries that learn new songs.

a. same
b. mice whose brains grow when they are placed in a simulating environment or canaries whose neurons increase when they
c. mice’s brains that grow when they are placed in a stimulating environment or canaries’ neurons that increase when they
d. the brain growth in mice when placed in a stimulating environment or the increase in canaries’ neurons when they
e. brain growth in mice that are placed in a stimulating environment or an increase in neurons in canaries that

Please share your findings.

I chose E as my answer.

B : Recently documented examples ... mice : Doesn't work
C: mice's brains aren't placed in a stimulating environment
D: Canaries' neurons don't learn new songs. Though am tempted to chose this cause of parallel structure.

That's why I chose E. Any suggestions? Does anyone have the OA?

"E" clear and no pronouns error.

"B" was a good contender however "E" sound clear

I am pretty sure it is E. Neurogenesis is the creation of new brain cells. So, documented examples have to be cases of brain growth, not of the mice's brains themselves. B & C are out. A is out because we aren't sure if it means that the brain is placed in the environment, or the mice. D has two problems as i see it, "when" is unclear, and ||ism between "the brain growth in mice" and "the increase in canaries' neurons"

It was straight 'E'

'D' - incorrect. In 'canaries’ neurons when they' mismatched antecedent. They should replace canary and not neurons. Canarys learn new songs
