samsung had become the market leader with sales reaching 450 million units....

Is it possible to say “reached” instead of “reaching?
And tell me the difference thank you

Hi Hadiamini20,

"Reached" would be in past simple tense. Verb in past simple tense requires a noun. For example:
Incorrect: samsung had become the market leader with sales reached 450 million units....
Correct: samsung had become the market leader. Its sales reached 450 million units....
