Question

Can my recommender submit the letter of recommendation 1-2 days after the deadline of early round?

I have submitted the application form but my recommender is yet to finalize the answers.

Yes, it's generally fine. The schools don't advertise this because 1-2 days can become 3-4 days and then can become a week. Often times, schools will give recommenders a 48 hour grace period so as not to penalize the applicant. You can email or call the Admissions Office to be safe.

The deadline for R1 isn't until 9/26. Is there some reason why your recommender is already anticipating they'll be submitting after this deadline, 25 days away?

I am applying for the early round for which the deadline is tonight. Hence my concern.

We are late in responding to you; nonetheless, we hope this will be of help to future applicants.

Generally, schools understand that recommendations are dependent on a third party and are willing to offer a couple of days as an extension; however, this is never quite mentioned on the website formally. If one needs an extension, it is best to get in touch with the school directly.
