Hi, I have a question about which email address to put for recommendation writer.
My previous employer is a fortune-500 company in semiconductor. (i have left the job 2.5 years ago to pursue a graduate degree in engineering). however, it was just acquired by another company. everybody in the industry would know this. while the merging process has not done yet, it is expected to be completed by first quarter of 2016.
in this case, while i put my manager as a reference letter write, should i use his personal email account or work account? i asked him this already, and he doesnt mind either. but if i use the work email, and it is later changed to a new address due to the acquisition. what will i do then? and later if the background check looks to contact my manager, he woudnt be reachable. Or is it better to use his personal account? in this case, how would the business school know that he is indeed m manager?
i asked the grad school adcom already, but still waiting for the response.
Anyone has any insight will be appreciated..
