Hi guys!
I must be honest with myself: I'm not ready for Round 1
I have to retake the GMAT exam and my essays are just a little approach of what they should be
So, I gonna apply on Round 2. However, I've already contacted to my recommenders and I would not like to ask them to wait until January (in part, becasue in January they have to do 3 recommendation packages more)
My question is: How do you see that my recommenders submit their documents and so on for Round 1 (or before) and I apply for Round 2?
Is that a great mistake?

I don't think it matters one bit. I've heard many adcoms mention that "It's better to wait until round 2 and submit a better app, than rush your app for round 1."

Do you really need until January to prepare your applications? You can submit in November for R2 you know - the application won't be read until January, but you'll be finished before the holidays and yours will probably be one of the first applications to get reviewed.
I personally plan to submit an R2 application December 1st for a school whose deadline isn't until mid-January. And I agree asking your recommenders now to wait until January is risky - they may have plans, be busy with holidays and whatnot.
