Hi everyone, new poster here to the forum. 
I checked the search function on the forum and wasn't able to find the answer I was looking for in regards to recruiters, so I apologize if this has been asked before.
My question is in regards to how recruiters/employers view pre-MBA salaries, particularly if the salary is a bit on the low side.
Do recruiters and employers care about your pre-MBA salary when it comes to offers, or are many offers for post-MBA jobs a standard compensation offer?
I'm curious to see whether a low pre-MBA salary can badly hurt earning potential (for instance, someone with a pre-MBA salary of 35k-40k making the jump to 60-70k'ish range? Is that outlandish?), or do these people care more about who you are, the experience you have, and perhaps your performance/involvement in B-school (MBA internships, consulting/investment projects, club projects) when looking to hire you?

The company recruiters will not know your salary unless you tell them. I have never been asked that in an interview. Different companies care about different things. If you are getting the interview, there's something about your profile that makes you interesting to them. It could be a mix of the things you've listed, but previous salary is not one of them.

It really depends on the company and specifically if they are recruiting you with a group of other students. Almost every company will ask for your previous salary, as a matter of policy, but not all will use it against you. If you're coming in with a bunch of other students, it doesn't make sense to low ball one person; they'll usually just give everyone the same salary. However, if the company is really small, and you're the only person they are hiring, then there's a much higher likelihood that they'll lowball you.
