Please correct if I am wrong in my understanding regarding diagonals of polygon :
1) Square and Rectangle have diagonals of equal length
2) Square and Rhombhus have diagonals that bisect each other at 90deg (Perpendicular bisectors)
3) Rectangle and Parallelogram have diagonals that bisect each other (divide equally) however not at 90 deg (not a perpendicular bisector)
1) Square and Rectangle have diagonals of equal length -
YES;
2) Square and Rhombhus have diagonals that bisect each other at 90deg (Perpendicular bisectors) -
YES;
3) Rectangle and Parallelogram have diagonals that bisect each other (divide equally) however not at 90 deg (not a perpendicular bisector) -
YES. Diagonals of a rectangle or a parallelogram could be perpendicular bisectors of each other when rectangle or parallelogram is a square (square is a special case of a rectangle and parallelogram). Also diagonals of a parallelogram could be perpendicular bisectors of each other when parallelogram is a rhombus (rhombus is a special case of parallelogram).
