Hi,
I am an Indian student preparing for GMAT. I am in my final year of engineering. I want to give GMAT exam in April, so when do I have to register for the exam and also what will be the problem if I don't give it earlier because every college has it's deadline.

In order to take the exam in April, you can either book the exam right away
or take your time and book by February end. I would recommend you to take
a diagnostic test(available on mba.com). Once you get a preliminary score, you
could plan your exam accordingly.
As far as the deadlines are concerned, most of the US business have their Early
Round deadlines in September, so if you are done with the exam in April, you would
have sufficient time to prepare your applications.
Since you are still in college, you could target the YLP(offered by ISB), Silver Scholars
program(offered by Yale school of management), or 2+2 program(offered by HBS)

Hi anuj2539,
I booked my exam just a day before my actual GMAT. You can book it anytime so long as the date is still available.
It's also advisable to get done with GMAT earlier so you can focus on your applications.
