Hi gona,

As already stated, if you score below your score goal when you take the GMAT, you can cancel the score. After all, you can reinstate the score if you need to use it at a later date.

Are you just beginning your GMAT prep? What is your score goal?

Hi gona,

In general, Business Schools don't care if you retake the GMAT, but if your second Score is not better (in some way) than your first Score, then you might consider cancelling that second Score. Based on the question you're asking, have you taken the GMAT once or twice already? Before I can offer you any advice for your ongoing studies, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long have you studied?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) How have you scored on EACH of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
4) If you have already taken the Official GMAT, then how did you score (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?

Goals:
5) What is your overall goal score?
6) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
7) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
