June 15: GMAT 1: 690 (Q:48 V:37)
July 17: GMAT 2: 690 (Q:46 V:40)
Just wrote my second GMAT today... I got the exact same overall score but with different scores in Q and V. I sent the first scores to some schools but I didn't send the second score to any schools. The "C" for cancelling the second score will therefore be removed from the scorecard and no one will ever see it if I don't get it reinstated (according to the new rules).
Is there any reason to get that second GMAT score reinstated (for when I actually apply to schools)? I imagine the first score is more desirable since it is slightly more balanced. That being said, the second score seems to be a bit better since I dropped by two in Q but improved by 3 in the verbal section, which tends to be worth more. Admissions may also see that my highest score in each section results in an overall score above 700 (~710 Q:48 V:40).
Any thoughts? Or does this not matter at all?
