Help with Reinstate Canceled Score process?

Question

I purchased the reinstate score option and the exam I reinstated now gives the option to cancel that score on the GMAC website, so it clearly is reinstated and I got a receipt saying so too, but the score itself has yet to show up

Is waiting for the website to update with my reinstated score all I have to do now?

Has anyone had this happen to them? The GMAC website says 5-7 or up to twenty days for the score to show after reinstating

Hi ryanm7,

One of the factors is how quickly you originally cancelled your Score. IF you cancelled it immediately upon seeing it (for example, if you took your Official GMAT at a Test Center and cancelled your Unofficial Score when it appeared on the screen), then your AWA was almost certainly NOT scored - and until it is, you won't have an Official Result that can be sent to Schools. That process is likely what is accounting for the potential 5-7 day 'waiting period' that you've read about.

Give it atleast a few days, keep the receipt with you. And so long as you did it in the right timeframe, you should be fine.

It should go through. The guidance is 5 to 7 days though I thought it was quite a bit faster than that…. I guess if you canceled it right away and they did not grade your AWA, they now have to do it.

If you need to apply, you can use the score now. By the time admissions reviews your application, your score will be available and sent to them (the sending part is something you will have to do including paying a score report fee)
