Hello,

I score a 710 on GMAT in my first attempt but cancelled the score then and there because I think it was low. I am going to give my second attempt in a few days time. So just as a safety net, I want confirm that incase my second test doesn't go as planned, can I still re-instate the first score? (applying to R2 which has deadlines in January so don't have the time cushion to let it go wrong)

Based on what I have read, it can be done. However, an expert advice would help here. Thank you very much for helping!
This can most definitely be done. If in an unfortunate situation you score lower than the first attempt and you choose to cancel the second score, you can reinstate the first.

Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for your quick revert!

Hi Frodo1997,

As long as you are willing to pay the 'reinstatement fee', you can reactivate any of your prior cancelled Scores within the last 5 years.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Thank you very much for the help!

Yes, if you need to use your "old" score, you can always reinstate the score for a fee. Good luck with your next attempt.

Hi did you receive confirmation email after paying for the reinstatement fee? I only received payment confirmation. How long did it take to reinstate the score eventually?

Quick question here. If I reinstate one of my scores, schools will see only this score, right? In my case I had 590 at the first attempt that I cancelled after the exam. Let's say that on the 2nd attempt I score 700 and cancel it in the test center. Then I decide to reinstate this 700 score within 5 years. In that case schools will see ONLY 700 score, right?

Thanks in advance :)

Correct. Schools would see just the 700 score.

From the MBA website:

"Reinstating Your Score
You may reinstate a previously canceled score for a fee via your mba.com account. Canceled scores can be reinstated up to four years and 11 months from the exam date. Reinstated scores are available typically within 7 business days, but may take up to 20 business days to process."

All the best.

Yes. Which basically suggests that you cancel every score and then pay to reinstate whichever you want to send / share.
