Rejected after interview - reapplication strategy?

Hi,
Unfortunately got the news yesterday that I was rejected from LBS after having an in-person interview last month.
Wondering about reapplication strategy. I think I was rejected because of lack of significant work experience (3 years, not much leadership or international experience). I did so-so on the interview (not a disaster, but not amazing either).
My plan to develop myself until the next time I apply is to get a new job in marketing, ideally with a Latin America focus. However I'm wondering if applying round 1 for next year is too soon - just 6 months away. Will LBS think I have developed enough to warrant admission in just 6 months? Or would I have to wait another year and a half, and apply in Sept 2017 to really show that I've grown?
Below are my stats if that's helpful:
Gender: F Years of work experience: 3 GMAT: 700 (very high verbal, so-so quant) GPA: 3.76/4.00 at a top 50 US School current job: advertising account manager desired post MBA job: international brand marketing at a travel company - so want to get a new job in the meantime that gets me closer to that goal passports: U.S. + 1 Latin American country international experience: a lot of personal travel, only 1 international business trip, but I led a project during that trip leadership experience: just leading small projects at work. volunteerwork, on an advertising industry committee.
Any advice would be appreciated!

I am sorry that you got bad news yesterday but you are doing the right things now! You can ask LBS for some feedback on your application. In addition, I am happy to do a quick review and give you my thoughts. From what I see here (assuming interview went well, which may or may not have been the case), some additional experience would definitely help you. Getting a marketing job that is closer to your goal makes sense as ad account manager is a good role, but not the strongest pre-MBA role. Have you also considered retaking the GMAT? You are not out of range but this could help you.
Applying this year is a good idea. It is not too soon if you are able to change your profile. Feel free to send me an email and I give you any further thoughts on your application and talk about the best strategy going forward. scott@personalmbacoach.com
