Hi, I am an Indian candidate with 5+ years exp in Financial Risk Management at Investment banks in India.
I was wondering if taking up an MSF program in US varisties worthwhile considering the average age applicants in most programs is around 25 yrs and work ex typically 2-3 yrs, considering I am about to hit 30
MBA programs will more suit my profile, but I am really not interested to spare more than an year and that much amount of money (which MBA programs require).
So, what do you think is the best option to get into the US territory through the education route and still score a decent job after completion of the course.

There are MSF programs that suit more older students (Georgetown, GWU, some others). I frankly am not sure an MSF would really help you though. Your work experience is going to hurt you with a lot of programs that will try and steer you towards their MBA program. I'd either find an MBA that will give you some scholarship money or look at the MSF programs that favor older students with more experience.

Do you mean work experience is a negative for securing admission itself, or are you referring to the post-program prospects?
