I have a situation that I'm not sure about:
I was accepted to school A in round 1 and put a deposit down to hold the spot while I heard back from other schools in round 2. I was accepted to school B in round 2. I want to put a deposit down at school B in order to give myself more time to decide (my decision will be influenced by where my boyfriend gets into grad programs, however he is still waiting on some responses). If I deposit at school B, will school A learn about it and rescind my spot?
Currently I'm feeling that I'll end up wanting to go to school A in the end, but if my boyfriend gets into a grad program near school B, that would sway me towards school B. I'd like to have both options open for a little longer in order to make a fully informed decision, but I don't want to jeopardize a place at either school.
The only things I know about double depositing come from undergrad (where it's a big mistake to double deposit and you'll end up losing both spots), so I wanted to get advice from the experts here!

I don't think it will be a major issue. Sounds like you will have a pretty good reason to make the change if needed. You certainly won't be the first person to ever go through this. There is a reason schools take deposits and if you end up deciding not to attend, they will simply go to the next person on the waitlist. I'd be really surprised if any person working in an admissions department would be bitter enough to track down other schools you are applying to and let them know.
