Hi
This site has been for quite sometime (atleast a year I guess). There have been many who have used this site to their benefits and also made their contributions.
Not many of them, browse this site once they have completed their GMAT and posting their exprnc on the test. Nevertheless, our target is to get in a B-School of our desire. Did the people who used this site, get to it.
It would be wonderful to have a separate section, where the users can give their GMAT scores and the schools that accepted them/rejected them. With this we can know the importance of GMAT of that particualr school, or atleast a close mark on what the school expects on GMAT.
Example :-
GMAT - 740....
GPA - 3.5....
Applied - Harvard, Yale, Kellogs, Stanford.....
Accepted - Harvard, Yale, Stanford.....
Rejected - Kellogs....
(
Reason - optional - Less exprnce, gmat score low, GPA low etc..)
This would be a good tool to access ourselves in the whole app process. And more important is that a NETWORK is build in here, even after the GMAT is done. This will benefit others for sure, to know, where one has landed and what are his strengths.
I hope this request moulds good.
Regards
Carsen
This is a good idea. We have started something similar by building a gmat score database.... but it stopped right there.
Let me think about it - It can be done as a database (more professional but not as flexible) or just as a forum section. The latter is easier as it requires no additional programming/development.
The only challenge is that people often take a break between GMAT and MBA application of 2-4 months depending on when they hear about the results and it is hard to nail them down - exectly who is still here and who is gone. Perhaps we can create a script that will email members who are not active for a while and asks them to update their profile, etc.
