Dear GMAT experts,

I took my GMAT on 24th November 2018 and scored a disappointing 590(Q-44,V27) for all the effort and time spent
I studied enough for 4 months and used the Target Test prep for quants and E-gmat for my verbal. i completed all the GMAT club tests too.
Below are my GMAT PREP scores.

GMATPREP1-610(Q48,V-25)
GMATPREP2-640(Q49,V27)
GMATPREP3-620(Q-47,V28)
GMATPREP4-660(Q50,V29)
GMATPREP5-580(Q45,V25)
GMATPREP6-650(Q47,V32)

I took all these tests in exact GMAT conditions with sufficient break in between each of the tests
I do understand my performance in quants in above mocks is not representative of my actual GMAT.From ESR(attached), i can figure out that my first subsection of quants was terrible.
Also, i could see that i have missed out in my strong areas in quants.

Experts and e-gmat -please suggest if it is possible to improve my score to Q49 and V-32 in a month
If yes, kindle share your expertise in achieving my goal.
I am really determined to crack the gmat next time as i have invested a lot of effort and time on this.
Also, I need advice on strategies to attack the test.

Please suggest good practice tests for verbal as I want to improve it to V32

Regards
Danney

(badly want to bounce back)

Hi Dannys,

I'm sorry to hear that Test Day didn't go as well as planned. When these types of score drops occur, the two likely "causes" involve either something that was unrealistic during practice or something that was surprising (or not accounted for) on Test Day. If you can answer a few questions, then we should be able to figure this out:

1) On what dates did you take each of your CATs?
2) Did you take the ENTIRE CAT each time (including the Essay and IR sections)?
3) Did you take them at home?
4) Did you take them at the same time of day as when you took your Official GMAT?
5) Did you ever do ANYTHING during your CATs that you couldn't do on Test Day (pause the CAT, skip sections, take longer breaks, etc.)?
6) Did you ever take a CAT more than once? Had you seen any of the questions BEFORE (re: on a prior CAT, in an online forum or in a practice set)?

Hi Dannys,

I’m sorry to hear how things went with your GMAT. Although you are frustrated, the good news is that your quant and verbal scores on your actual GMAT were not significantly lower than your quant and verbal scores on your practice exams.

In any case, I realize that you’d like to score higher, so I’d like to troubleshoot what exactly happened on your GMAT. I’m going to send you a DM so we can speak in further detail.
