Hello,
1) I am Rahul Dengra currently working as a SAP Consultant in Deloitte Audit and Enterprise Risk and Services(AERS). I have 40 months of experience with Deloitte (joined Deloitte just after completing my graduation). I am responsible for handling a team of 8-10 members who work together to provide SAP Security implementation and support services. In a nutshell we make sure users in SAP have all the access right they need but never more than they actually require. I also work to make sure the business processes are streamlined for better efficiency.
2) I have a GMAT score of 720
3) Engineer - Information Technology - passing year 2011 - Grade 7.2 out of 10 ( Reason for low grade - Absolute marking in college and even the topper of our stream had GPA of 8.4)
4) I have played chess from my state team in 2005 and from my corporate team recently in 2013 and won a few quiz completions in Deloitte as well as during my school days. ( I don’t know how much this affects my overall profile)
During colleges I have organized a few fests but was not in core committee as I did it as a volunteer.
I have been part of core/organizing committee of Deloitte CSR in which I lead a team of 50 members for cleaning of a lake in Bangalore. Apart from this I am currently doing volunteering work every alternate weekend in one of the all year round CSR( I don’t have any certificate for this as we get the certificate only at the year-end)
5) No certification
6) Target program – ISB for class of 2015-16
7) Application Deadline R2 – 30 Nov 2014
8) I have been supporting end users from past 4 years and daily interaction with them has made me realize what I am lacking to be a successful SAP Consultant. First, the understanding of business can help me a lot in solving the technical issue. Second, The use of negotiation skills to while working in the cross cultural team. (Currently we are supporting 60 countries and it is very difficult to deal with everyone due to different cultural and financial/Audit background of different stakeholders)
With the MBA I am looking to enhance these skills and move toward my short term goal of becoming a SAP functional consultant .
I haven't researched much on colleges outside India because of financial condition but with a above average score will i get scholarship in colleges that are not in top 50.

Thanks for posting. So you've got a solid GMAT, and some good work experience at Deloitte including a limited amount of volunteering and involvement even recently, which is a small plus. It also sounds like you've got some good rationales and thinking behind what you'll gain with the MBA. Your experience leading the team will help you in terms of having some leadership examples to draw from. A lot may come down to your essays and recs... how you share your story; what you describe about yourself, your personality and what makes you unique. It won't be easy as there are a number of fairly similar applicants at ISB, but you may have a shot depending upon how you put together your story and apps. As to your q about schools outside top 50, tough to predict but yes chances of scholarships would be greater at that level. Let us know how else we can help, best wishes!
