I worked at a proprietary trading firm for a year as a trading assistant, basically trading US Treasuries overnight during Asian and European sessions on day traders' account.

I transferred from Georgia Tech after my freshman year, where I studied Biomedical Engineering and had GPA: 2.97
So Overall GPA: 3.42 / Major GPA: 3.67
I was a premed, which I took biology, chemistry, physics and organic chem. I didn't do great on some of the science courses (C's)
Also, I didn't really do well during my Freshman year due to lack of focus and studying at Georgia Tech.
Extra-curriculars
I was pre-med, so I took part in medical research at school. I worked 13~14 hours overnight at the prop shop, so don't have extra-curricular when I was trading.
I worked about a year at the Endocrinology department at Emory Children's Clinic, analyzing the effects of continuous quality improvement (CQI) assessment on diabetic patients and presented the findings at the Emory Health Care Quality Conference.
Also, I worked about two years at HIV clinic, researching he effects of HIV antiretroviral treatments and HIV resistance mutations on the following conferences: Fifth Annual Department of Medicine Research Day & American Federation for Medical Research Southern Regional Meeting, which I received SIRE Grant to travel to the conference to present.
I went to Costa Rica & Nicaragua for about 15 days and performed clinical duties, such as interviewing the patients and performing physical exams under supervision of licensed bilingual local physicians.
I volunteered at Navy Marine Corps Relief Society for couple months and tutored low-income children from third world countries.
Target: My target is Berkeley Haas.
Application Cycle: R3 2014-5
Goal: I have never studied finance in college, and with such background my options in finance are very shallow.
So I want to use MBA to study in finance and hopefully work in investment banking in San Francisco post MBA.
