This is a request for profile evaluation.
I recently gave my Gmat online and scored a disappointing 640(V29/Q49).
I gave 4 Gmat official mocks and scored between 680 and 730 in the mocks. Don't know what went wrong on the final exam
I am considering a Gmat retake in the center but before that i want to get a quick profile evaluation to access options i have right now and whether to retake Gmat or not?
About me :
Age - 24
Gender - Female
Academic Qualification:
Graduate from SRCC 2018(8.24 CGPA)
ISC - 12th : 97.5%
ICSE - 10th - 90.6%
Work Experience -
Current Work experience - 3yrs
-Worked with Deloitte India for 2 years in risk advisory (Awarded internal awards for performance)
-Working with Pearson India since last one year
Extra Circular
-Held POR in college as sponsorship head of society
-Wrote research paper which was accepted for oral presentation
-Headed a social project in collaboration with an NGO
Short term goals
- Join the big 3 consulting firms
Long term goals
-Work as a SME for consumer goods industry. Ultimately shifting full time to the consumer goods industry.
I am struggling with the decision of Gmat retake due to the high cost of the exam. I intend to apply to the B-schools for 2022 session. My first preference is 1 year programs but i am flexible with the 2 year program as well.
Please assist with the profile evaluation and kindly suggest if any B-school options are available to me with the current Gmat score..

To be frank, you are going to run in a problem with your score as for as your MBA choice and short-term goals are concerned.
To successfully get into the Big 3 consulting firms, you are going to need to go to a reputable school from which these firms recruit. To do that, you need a solid score (700+). Plus, the Big 3 ask for your GMAT score when you apply to interview with them. They too are expecting a good GMAT score - maybe not exactly 700 but close enough. A 640 is going to be hard to overcome even with intense networking.
I strongly urge you to retake the exam. If you are planning to get an MBA and are going into consulting (a relatively lucrative field), you should invest the money in taking the exam again. It's a no-brainer as the ROI (assuming you get a higher score) is sky high!
