Demographic
Indian, Male, 25
Education
B.Tech (Computer Engineering), 8.67/10.0, College of Engineering, Pune
CFA L2 candidate (awaiting result for the L2 exam)
Work Experience
Total 46 months as of today.
Aug, 2017 - May. 2020 (India) -> Software developer in electronic trading space in top investment bank. Limited Client interaction. Got 1 promotion, consistent top ranking and several accolades for top performance.
May, 2020 - Present (Singapore) -> Software developer in a commodities quant trading firm based in Singapore. Close interaction with PMs, Quant researchers. Building trading tech from scratch.

A GMAT score of 700 is going to tricky. Ideally, for someone coming from your demographic, clearing the 730 mark is ideal. Let's put it this way, you won't be denied admission solely based on your GMAT score but it is going to put extra pressure on the other components of your application, which are good but not spectacular.
Out of curiosity, what was the breakdown between V and Q? Are you opposed to retaking the exam? You should have ample time before the R1 deadlines and beyond enough time before R2 deadlines.
Other than that GMAT, there is not a ton you can do to close the gap. I would say try to get involved in one more extracurricular pursuit (at work or outside of work) that might be even-driven as that is preferred to some sort of membership, which might look like resume padding.

The breakdown of my GMAT score is V-38 Q-47. I am not entirely opposed to re-taking the exam. I was wondering whether I should put that extra effort in re-taking the exam or on my essays, and other parts of the application. But if improving the score can help ease pressure on the parts of the application, I could consider re-taking the exam and hopefully be ready by R1 dates.
