Hi,
I am kind of curious if I am competitive to 10~20 MBA schools or not. I look forward to attend a business school on 2019 Fall.
School: UC Berkeley (Economics), GPA 3.2
Age: 27 (I will get out of the Army on 2019; my age will be 29 on 2019)
Career: 1 year in commercial bank as a credit analyst and two years in US Army as a finance enlisted (will be four years in military on 2019).
GMAT: I actually have not taken the test, but I will at least try to get 700.
As you see my profile, I am currently working as a finance soldier in US military. I am sorry for the weak and short profile, could you give me an advice to apply business schools and tell me if I can give it a shot to top business schools such as Hass, Wharton, Anderson, Marshall, Columbia, stern, Ross... etc..
Hey there dude,
And good to hear from you!
The short of it: yes. You are army. You graduated from Berkley. It's a very good start.
Now, I'd LOVE to help you out and get down with your profile, and dig in muuuuch deeper. The thing is I am missing detail.
I need a LOT more info from you - titles, promotions, greatest achievements, volunteer work, sports, community service, religious involvement, leadership.. etc. before I can give you a real evaluation. What do you do in the army? How much leadership do you have? etc etc. etc.
It will also be very helpful if you can elaborate upon your goals.
Have a look at some of the other very detailed profile requests on this board and do something similar and I'll be happy to get back to you.
Best,
JF
I hope this helps! And feel free to drop us a line for a
