Hi,
I am aiming for a 750+ gmat and was floored by the first kaplan online free test.
I got 650.
33 correct 4 incorrect ,scaled score 45 , 94 percentile : Quant
30 correct 11 incorrect , scaled score 39 , 89 percentle : Verbal ( sentence correction got me
)
I was actually thinking of just giving the test without much thought but seems like i am in for a grill . I have cornered on the following resources for prep
Kaplan verbal workbook
OG
Power prep Tests.
Any suggestions advice r welcome.

I think your kaplan online results are quite reasonable considering you just started your preparation..also that test is very strict in it's scoring. I recently took that test . Here are my observations
First of all, the questions in that test are easy compared to kaplan cd tests.
Second, the scoring is very strict..I did 35/37 questions correct in quant ( I still cant understand where I missed two questions..as you know the test does not show your detailed results) AND SCALED score given was 47.. 97%ile
In verbal..I found RC passages quite doable ,unlike kaplan cd rc's, although bit longer than usual. I think couple of CR's were ambiguous..
It showed my scaled score to be 40..92 %ile.and it said I had 33/41 correct..I missed mostly CR and RC questions..Again , i dont know how can I miss 4 rc questions..they seemed quite striaghtforward to me..
Anyhow, the total score it showed was 680
So all in all , what I can say is that ..first, you seem already quite prepared..second, dont give too much weightage to these scores..
try practicing kaplan cd and official guide.if possible, do some gmatplus questions also..you can find gmat+ material from the links given in this site.
Yes, SC can be a challenge.. only way to counter that is by doing as many questions and trying to understand the physchology of test makers.
